摘要：An adhesive dressing for a difficult to treat region of the body comprising: abacking sheet 1; a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive 2 coated on the backing sheet; andan absorbent island 3 adhered to the backing sheet on the same side as the adhesivelayer, wherein the island has a smaller area than the backing sheet such that an adhesive-coated margin 4 of the backing sheet extends around the island, and wherein the island isoffset from the center of the backing sheet to provide a wide margin 5 region that can bepartially removed to alter the shape of the dressing and thereby improve the conformityof the dressing to a region of the body. The island and the adhesive-coated margin arecovered by three release-coated cover sheets 6,7,8. The invention is especially applicableto sacral dressings.
